This book makes a difficult program a little easier. Most newer cameras and smartphones take excellent photos so little editing is usually required. But, if you need to edit, then Photoshop Elements 11 is a good cost effective program. I am a very experienced in digital photo and video editing and went to the 'Elements 11' to simplify my work. However, Photoshop Elements 11 IS NOT intuitive, so this Dummies volume is a necessity to get any proficiency out of the program. I used Photoshop for years then Photo Impact (PI) for many more. PI is much more user friendly, but very unstable with Vista and Win 7/8. Get this book and use it.
